Will's first cold, and our fun sleepover weekend

Will's first cold. It's been coming on for about a week, but hit hard yesterday. He's weathering it pretty well so far. I took him to the doctor today and he's doing just fine. He's even gained 6 oz. since his four-month visit two weeks ago, weighing in now at 14 lbs. 7 oz. We've got the humidifier going, the saline drops at the ready, and lots of napping built in to our days until it passes.

We had a really good time this past weekend having a sleepover party with our friends Yasmine, Ramona & Adam while Billy painted the kitchen. (Pictures of that fiasco, and the fantastic but not-yet-final results to come). I finally got a picture of both Yasmine and Will in their matching Froggie jammies, which I've been waiting on for a while. (That picture and the last two weeks of pictures should be up soon - it' s been chaos without the kitchen). Yasmine gave Baby Will lots of kisses, gentle pats, and shared lots of toys and books with him. She's a really exceptional and special 1.5 year old. Will loves to watch her, especially when she bursts out with a big jump or excited shout!

Dad and I have each figured out little secrets for Will. Dad's find: singing the song "The Noble Duke of York." My secret: the word "boom." For some reason, that song will silence any cries (during bottles or car rides) and that word will reliably elicit giggles from Will. Whatever works....
