Happy Halloween!

Today is Will's first Halloween. Not surprisingly, Will went as a frog. A damn cute frog at that.

First, Will got in the mood in his froggie footsie jammies:

Then, we got dressed and went to visit our friend the Monkey, aka Yasmine:

Will was really sad when he heard Yasmine wasn't going to be around to go trick-or-treating with him:

But he got back on the horse - specifically, a Pookie horse - after a few hours:

Dad wanted some free candy, so we went out trick-or-treating.

Then we gave out a little candy too:

Then I put the girls in Halloween bibs and tried to make them pose for a portrait while Dad put Willfrog to bed:

Phillies take the series

Will is sleeping, but I know he will be disappointed that the Rays didn't win the game. I am sure some milk and a nap will get him right back on track.

Now its time to regroup and focus on football and the winter. Its time to dig deep and get in shape for deep pow. For Will that means tummy time and lots of milk. I keep telling him the quicker you walk the quicker I can get you on the hill. For Dad that means an occasional sprint to the train or possibly a walk to the village to get an ice cream cone.

You wanna train and get stronger? The key is the music. Here are my top tracks for real power training.

1. You're The Best - Joe Esposito - The Karate Kid soundtrack : Feel free to just put this one track on and loop it. Your workout is done when you are in a crane position ready to kick anyone who looks at you funny.

2. Eye of the Tiger - Survivor : Yeah I know this one might be lame, but you can think back to Rocky 1-12 and get fired up.

3. Sister Christian - Night Ranger : Just to mix it up a bit.

Some will be dissapointed when Dad is away.

Tazi has tried to hitch a ride in the board bag a number of times....

For Mom the expression here says it all. But I don't think she will be on a beach chair in Kauai this winter. But who knows anything can happen.

Dad enjoying a day on the hill. Sweeeeeeeeet!!!!!!

Even Will is worried.

This has been a rough month for everyone. Even Will is worried about the economy. So this past weekend while visiting his family in NY, he decided to educate himself about the crisis by reading the New York Times. Dad was still working on Page 6 of the New York Post.

And it's a record.

Will's team may not be in the World Series this year, but he's putting up some BIG NUMBERS!
2.5 hours.
6 poo diapers.
2 blowouts.
2 loads of laundry.

Interview with Will

Dad finally got Will to take some time out of his busy schedule for a quick interview.

Dad: So Will, you're about 3 and a half months now, what's new?

Will: Well you know- eating, pooing, and sleeping pretty much takes up all my time.

Dad: Any new tricks?

Will: Grabbing things is fun. I also enjoy yelling, laughing and stuffing my hand in my mouth.

Dad: What's up with all the fussing and screaming in the car?

Will: I'm sick of that damn car. Can't we walk around a little? Why does Mom always have to go to stores? We went to Target like 10 times last week.

Dad: I see you have a new hairstyle going. Is that the Tampa Bay Ray's signature Rayhawk?

Will: Yep its sick! Just like Jonny Gomes.

Dad: Hmm Will, he looks a little crazy. Not sure I want you hanging out with that crowd.

Will: Lighten up Dad it's just a haircut.

Dad: I thought you were a Yanks fan. What gives?

Will: Yeah but dood, the Rays just beat Boston and they are a sick team. Young fast and strong just like me.

Dad: Whooooaaaa Will, don't you think its better to root for your team instead of hating your rival?

Will: Yeah, but its tough to root for your team when they don't even make the playoffs. Besides you remember all those Boston fans that texted you, sent mean email after email, left things at your desk, threw things at you, laughed at you, and compared the Yankees to the Braves!

Dad: I remember now.

Will: You gotta toughen up Dad. This town is making you soft.

Dad: Whatever. Have some faith kid the Yankees will bring home a title soon.

My condolences to all the Cubs fans of the world. Down with the 5 game first round, all playoff rounds should be 7 games.

Go Obama!

Trading evils

So for quite a while now, Will's been giving Dad a really hard time about taking a bottle from him. It leads to much crying and screaming - and Will gets pretty upset too. Over the last week, Will decided he hates his car seat. When I'm in exercise class, he won't stay in the carseat/stroller, and now when we're in the car he gets himself all lathered up in to a frenzy that is just awful. Tonight on the way home from food shopping it was no different. But then when we got home, he took a bottle from Dad, no problem. If it's not one thing, it's another I guess!

You gotta coordinate

This is what happens when Daddy dresses me in the morning - blue striped onesie, grey pants, and orange socks.

The most exciting news!

Although Will has enjoyed his time in the spotlight being the first grandchild on both sides of his family, he's more than happy to make room for TWO NEW COUSINS THIS SPRING! His Aunt Jen & Uncle Seth are expecting a baby in the beginning of March, and last night we found out his Uncle Brian & Aunt Daniella are expecting a baby late in April! Will was so excited, he laughed real giggly laughs for the first time yesterday (ok, he did that Saturday morning, but we'll just pretend for now). Video to come very shortly DAD!

Surprise!

So we went to Detroit this past weekend to surprise Aunt Amy for her 60th Birthday, and we met up with Grandma, Grandpa, and cousins Lisa, Josh & Ariana.

We didn't do too badly for our first (and second) flights! Only 2 dirty diapers on the 1.5 hour flight to Detroit.

Everyone was very excited to meet Will - and he showed off by attempting to rolling over from his back to his tummy, and doing a dead on impression of Dr. Evil.

We ate lots of good food, and went to see where the Detroit Tigers play ball! And now Will has a hand-made froggie outfit that I know he will make good use out of, including flipper slippers.

Why

Why is it so hard to pronounce the word "Nuclear" correctly? Why would someone running or holding national office NOT be able to do so? Why wouldn't their aides correct them? Why? Why? Why??????

Happy Birthday Great Aunt Amy!

Will asked me to post a big Happy Birthday to his Great-Aunt Amy out in Michigan. So here goes:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNT AMY!

He said he hopes to meet her soon next time she comes to the East Coast to visit, so he can give her 60 Birthday kisses!
