Hello Samuel Joseph Wright

How things have changed...

First kid I probably had 10 posts by now, this guy 1 post but I am determined to get back on track. Looking back on the blog I don't think I am as funny as I used to be but we will see.

Samuel Joseph was born after a relatively easy labor (compared to Will) if I remember correctly we got to the hospital around 4 and he was out at 8:05 PM. Not too bad....

Vitals - 7lbs 2oz 21"

Will is thrilled to have a new brother and all he wants to do is kiss on him and hug him. Unfortunately he is "The Germ" and we are trying to keep Samuel healthy.

Samuel is almost 4 weeks old and at this point Will has had - 2 fevers, coch sacki (no clue if that is spelled correctly and i don't care), strep throat, and pink eye. We are hanging in and thankful for our health care!

Will Skiing

We are starting to get Will out on the slopes. These pictures and movies are from his second day and we are very excited about his progress. We did 3 runs in some pretty tough weather and he did great! Will woke up this morning and said I want to go skiing so we took him out again and he got 8 runs in and was looking for more.

He will be doing glades and black diamonds with Dad in no time!

Happy Halloween!

Will was the UPS man and I will tell you he didn't "Deliver" the candy to Dad. He looked pretty good but he is still a little shy for heavy trick or treating. He brought home a take of 4 pieces of candy, not gonna cut it buddy.

He did get to meet the real UPS man at school and he was happy to see that Will was a big fan. Will got a high five and he played with the UPS computer; pretty sure some packages got lost that day.

Summer Fun

We have been having so much this summer now that we are settled in our new home. Here are some of the things we have been up to....

It has been a fun summer. Will has really been coming along and it is amazing watching him learn so many new things. He really likes to sing right now and his favorite songs are ABC, Baa Baa Blacksheep, and an occasional Itsy bitsy spider.

Two!!!!!!

We celebrated Will's second birthday a few weeks back and we are behind, but we have had a bit going on. In the last month or 2 we have bought a house, moved, sold a condo, adopted a cat, and that is just the big stuff.

He had a great time at his pool party, here are some pics. Special thanks our family members who helped make his second birthday a really fun time for us and the kids.

BIG NEWS!

We haven't blogged much lately because really, nothing new has been going on at all.
But today, something REALLY BIG happened. Will made a pee-pee in the potty at school today. Great success! We are super proud of our big boy, and as soon as we configure our tech gear, we'll put pictures up.

Will where have you been?

It has been a long time since we have blogged but I was told we still have some followers. While we have been gone Will has been doing lots of new things....

He knows all his letters (still has a little trouble with V and Y though), he waters plants, feeds the cat, makes coffee, vacuums and he is talking up a storm. He is very independent right now and we here "Will do" all the time meaning Will wants to do it. Now if Will doesn't get to do that can be trouble, tantrums are also part of the action. Still getting used to that.....

With all the recent rain we have had Will is very concerned with flooding, erosion, and the affect its having on local wildlife. He wanted to get a water sample but this request was denied.



Will doing some "rocking" which is the act of picking up a rock examining it and moving it to a new location. Must be some purpose to this but I haven't figured it out.

Gettin Smart!

Will has been making leaps and bounds with his words the last few weeks. He can almost have a conversation on the phone now. Maybe not the most intelligent conversation but probably more intelligent than some conversations I have had. He is also starting to recognize books by name and identify things on flashcards, it is very exciting. On the negative side he loves to slam doors, tries to lock you out of the house if you put him in and don't get in the door quick, and he is climbing everything. He doesn't seem to understand "No" which is odd because I am sure we say that word to him more than most other words. We will keep trying....

Yankees Win Number 27!!!!!!!

After a long WS drought by the Boss's standards, the Yankees get WS title 27! For the Wright crew in Boston this seemed like an eternity. Was it the move to Boston that brought the Yankees down? Probably not. Washed up superstars like Kevin Brown, Randy Johnson, and Carl "American Idol" Pavano had something to do with it. For awhile Red Sox domination made Boston a tough place to live. Now the universe has order again, and there isn't so much tension up here.



This post is a little late but we were waiting for Will's gear to arrive from NY. Sources tell me Grandpa Bill and Grandma Barbara picked this shirt up from the stadium in the Bronx. Thanks for the great shirt and thanks to all our friends and family for keeping Will stocked with Yankee gear.

Happy Halloween!!!

This was Will's second Halloween and although he is very cute he let me down a bit. He doesn't really have that candy grab working well yet, and I got some looks when I put my hand into the candy bowls. Someone had some Charleston Chews and I was trying to get him to go for those but he grabbed something lame. I am probably being a little hard on him since he doesn't eat candy yet, how can he possibly know how good it is. Training starts today learn what candy Dad likes and doesn't like at age 2 failure isn't an option.

Will was a red fire breathing dragon, and there is a good story behind the fire breathing. About 2-3 weeks ago Will got a cold and was pretty congested, so he started making this really furrowed face and he would snort. We thought it would be great for Halloween and we encouraged it. The cold cleared out about a week ago but he was still snorting. He also learned how to blow his nose (sort of). He takes the tissue puts it up to his nose and breathes out but he also inhales so not sure how effective it is. Well Halloween came and our fire breathing dragon didn't really breath much fire. We got a few out of him but he didn't want to put on a show I guess. He was a trooper though, considering it was 70 degrees out and we put him in this costume that was probably a bit stuffy.
